But these pumpkin spice scones were delicious!  I made them for a girls brunch, and we ate them up.  I found them at Bakergirl's site.  Scones are tricky.  But these scones came out cakey and delicious-not as heavy as a typical scone.  I omitted the cloves because I am not a fan.  In fact, every year at Thanksgiving, I am banned from including cloves & allspice in the pumpkin pie, because my mother hates these spices.  We just double up on the cinnamon and freshly grated nutmeg.
