Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl

(are you still singing?  I am!)

This past weekend, my friend with the greatest eyelashes, shoe closet, and pet naming skills (you can't go wrong with Barry or Prince as inspiration) asked me to an afternoon of fun in Leesburg.  I'm a sucker for fun vintage shopping, but she had me at Lola's and cupcakes!
I had the pumpkin cupcake.  It was just what a sunny, breezy afternoon in November called for-pumpkin spice goodness.  The frosting was a bit hard, but this is a small bakery without the manpower of places like GC.  So I was understanding.  I liked the simplicity of the garnish, but Amber & I agreed-too much frosting.  just like the great songstress of our time Jessica Simpson sang "A little bit goes a long way/"  (Speaking of which-which vegging this weekend, I caught former Idol judge Kara DioGuardi's THS on E-she wrote that song!  This may come in handy during a Trivial Pursuit match.)
